Detroit DD13 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 520249 FMI 4 (ACM) Selective Catalytic Reduction Inlet Temperature High

NOTE: This condition can occur when:1. MCM pin 2 circuit is shorted to ground.2. Quantity Control Valve (QCV) internal short to ground.

DESCRIPTION:Quantity Control Valve (Low Side) Error

MONITORED PARAMETER:Quantity control valve

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Always enabled

MONITOR SEQUENCE:None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met

TYPICAL DURATION:Two seconds

DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL

ENGINE REACTION:Derate 25%

VERIFICATION:Engine Idle: One minute.

NOTE: If code 3246-15 present, fix that first.

PROBABLE CAUSES:1. SCR inlet temperature sensor.2. SCR inlet temperature sensor connector/harness.
