Detroit DD13 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 157 FMI 16 (MCM) Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low

Geplaatst door Diezel Solutions op

DESCRIPTION:Fuel rail pressure too low. MONITORED PARAMETER:Injector cylinder #1 needle control valve. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Fuel rail pressure desired – fuel rail pressure actual > 200 bar. MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:Eight seconds DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL ENGINE REACTION:Derate 25% VERIFICATION:Engine Idle: One minute. NOTE: The motor control module (MCM) monitors the rail pressure and when rail pressure deviation is greater than 200 bar for eight seconds, the MCM sets the code. POSSIBLE CAUSES:1. External fuel leakage between the high pressure pump and fuel injectors.2. Pressure limiting valve leakage (Internal).3. Fuel filter integrity (Loose caps, plugged...

Detroit DD13 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 157 FMI 18 (MCM) Fuel Rail Pressure Too High

Geplaatst door Diezel Solutions op

DESCRIPTION:Fuel rail pressure too high. MONITORED PARAMETER:Fuel rail pressure TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Closed loop and actual RP greater than 200 bar of desired RP. MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:8 seconds DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL ENGINE REACTION:Derate 25% VERIFICATION:Steady engine 1400-1500 rpm: Two minutes. NOTE: The motor control module (MCM) monitors the fuel rail pressure, and when fuel rail pressure deviation is greater than 200 bar higher than requested fuel rail pressure for eight seconds, the MCM sets the code. POSSIBLE CAUSES:1. Faulty fuel rail pressure sensor.2. Faulty quantity control valve (QCV).3. Faulty MCM.4. Faulty wiring. NOTE:...

Detroit DD13 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 158 FMI 2 (MCM, CPC ) Ignition Switch Not Plausible

Geplaatst door Diezel Solutions op

NOTE: Please see the step by step troubleshooting procedures for this specific code. NOTE: If inactive, clear the code, cycle the engine, and see if comes back. If it doesn’t problem solved. Otherwise, POSSIBLE failures are:1. Measure voltage on the ECM 21-pin connector pin 7 and ground. If less than 11.5 V, repair the wiring to pin 7.2. If 11.5V or greater, find the Common Powertrain Controller connect #2. Measure the voltage between pin 3 and ground. If less than 11.5V, find source of problem. If greater, repeat procedure. Detroit DD13 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 158 FMI 7 (ACM) Battery Power is Disconnected Before Aftertreatment Control Module has Completed the Diesel Exhaust Fluid Key Off Purge Cycle

Geplaatst door Diezel Solutions op

DESCRIPTION:This is a silent fault (No DASH LAMPS). NOTE: If fault occurs while engine is running, all power and grounds should be inspected from the batteries to the ACM. NOTE: This is a silent code and will not illuminate the dash light. Disconnect batteries, make sure key is off. Wait 5 minutes, reconnect, and clear the inactive code. Detroit DD13 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 1590 FMI 19 (CPC) Adaptive Cruise Control – General Error

Geplaatst door Diezel Solutions op

DESCRIPTION:Adaptive cruise control message not received or signal error. MONITORED PARAMETER:Adaptive cruise control. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Always on MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:2 seconds DASH LAMPS:None ENGINE REACTION:None VERIFICATION:Key cycle – ignition on. NOTE: This fault code may set if driver does not wait for gauge sweep after turning the ignition on. NOTE: If any battery voltage codes present, first those first. If code 625-9 active, fix that before proceeding as well. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. CPC recently programmed incorrectly.2. If the adaptive cruise control module illuminates when the ignition key is cycled, inspect the J1939 wiring to...
