Conditions Which Generate This Code: This condition indicates a customer specified parameter or a system configuration parameter that requires programming has not been programmed. Probable Causes: 1) New ECM on vehicle, needs to be programmed2) Current ECM programmed incorrectly3) ECM Connection/harness

The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions: •The ECM is unsuccessful in receiving a message from a J1939 source.•The ECM is not receiving a valid message from a J1939 source. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) An ECM on the vehicle has failed or is sending improper data (Can be for anything – Cab, ABS, etc…)

The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following condition: •The parameter “Powertrain Data Link” must be programmed to J1939.•The ECM is unsuccessful in receiving a specific message from a device or•The device is broadcasting a fault code or•The device is broadcasting a code that is not supported. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) An ECM on the vehicle has failed or is sending improper data (Can be for anything – Cab, ABS, etc…)3)

This condition indicates that the SAE J1922 data link is not communicating correctly. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) Another device on the J1939 is causing problems (ABS, VORAD, Cab controller, etc…)3) Wiring from data link connector to ECM
