Volvo All Engines (2010 Emissions) Fault Code: SPN 3249 FMI 2 PID: PPID 387 Aftertreatment DPF Intake Temperature

Publicado por Diezel Solutions en

This diagnostic function indicates malfunction at the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor. The purpose of the exhaust gas sensor is to contribute the relevant temperatures required for the temperature regulated aftertreatment diesel particulate filter regeneration control. A faulty EGT sensor can result with a failed aftertreatment (DPF) regeneration. Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):1) The sensor value is not within an expected range2) Too high of temperature difference compared to the other DPF temperature sensors Observable symptoms1) Regeneration not possible Probable cause1) Exhaust system leakage2) Aftertreatment exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensors installed in the incorrect location on the aftertreatment diesel...

Volvo All Engines (2010 Emissions) Fault Code: SPN 3250 FMI 1 PID: DPF Spark Assisted Flame Temperature Sensor

Publicado por Diezel Solutions en

This fault indicates failure of the combustion flame to ignite. When aftertreatment diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration is active the aftertreatment control module (ACM) activates the ignition coil, aftertreatment DPF atomization module and air valves in order to create a flame in the aftertreatment DPF combustion chamber. The flame temperature is monitored continually by the ACM. To verify combustion the ACM measures the rise in flame temperature during the first 10 seconds of combustion. If proper combustion during the first 10 seconds of operation is not achieved the fault will be set. Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):1) Multiple lost...
