Volvo All Engines (2017 Emissions) Fault Code: P113711 PID: EMS Oil Thermostat
The oil thermostat is located in the oil filter housing and controls the engine oil temperature by controlling if the oil is sent through the oil cooler or not. The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors that the thermostat is working as expected by comparing the Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) Sensor value to a calculated oil temperature.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) The voltage at pin A14.EB:53 is less than 33 % of the battery voltage

1) Ignition key in ON position
Observable symptoms
1) Engine overheating
2) Fan engaged constantly
Probable cause
1) Short circuit to ground in the component or wiring
2) Oil thermostat
