Volvo All Engines (2013 Emissions) Fault Code: P24A100 PID: EMS Closed Loop DPF Regeneration Control At Limit – Temperature Too High

Volvo All Engines (2013 Emissions) Fault Code: P24A100 PID: EMS Closed Loop DPF Regeneration Control At Limit – Temperature Too High

This diagnostic function monitors the systems ability to maintain and regulate the DPF temperatures within acceptable limits based on current conditions like

Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Automatic Regeneration, Only
2) During regeneration the temperature after the catalyst is too low for the existing conditions, below 450??C, (842??F)

Observable symptoms
1) Regeneration aborted
2) Regeneration not possible

Probable cause
1) Aftertreatment exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensors installed in the incorrect location on the aftertreatment diesel particulate filter (DPF)
2) Aftertreatment Hydrocarbon Doser, under-fueling
3) Obstructed/dirty aftertreatment hydrocarbon doser
4) cAir purge system
5) Engine Turbo Compressor Bypass Valve
6) Catalyst failure, Possible excessive sulfur content in the diesel fuel
7) Damaged aftertreatment diesel particulate filter (DPF) from excessive heat
