DESCRIPTION:
EGR differential pressure too high (Low Box).
MONITORED PARAMETER:
EGR delta pressure sensor.
TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
1. Start with engine off.
2. Idle speed less than 900 rpm.
3. Coolant temperature greater than 65°C (149°F).
4. DPF zone 0.
MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None
EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Once per drive cycle.

ENGINE REACTION:
Derate 25%
VERIFICATION:
Shut engine off if it is running, start engine and warm it up by driving the vehicle such than coolant temperature is greater than 65°C (149°F), then let vehicle idle for greater than five minutes at less than 900 rpm.
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. EGR delta p sensor failure.
2. EGR delta p connector/harness.
3. EGR delta p pressure ports blocked.
4. EGR valve failure.
5. Inspect the EGR crossover tube and mixer pipe for excessive buildup. If excessive, replaced the EGR cooler.
6. Inspect EGR system for leaks/damage/issues.
