DESCRIPTION:This code sets when the MCM detects that there is a short to ground on the circuits for the injector amplifier control valve on cylinders 1, 2 and or 3.

MONITORED PARAMETER:Injector amplifier control valve cylinder 1, 2, 3.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Fuel injector system nozzle opening pressure reading greater than 1.85.

MONITOR SEQUENCE:None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met.

TYPICAL DURATION:Two seconds

DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL

ENGINE REACTION:Derate 25%

VERIFICATION:Engine rpm 1400 – 1500: One minute.

PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Connector outside the valve cover.2. Under valve cover fuel injector harness.3. Failed fuel injector #1, #2, or #3.4. Wiring between the valve cover connector and the 120-pin ECM connection.5. Failed MCM (Engine ECM).
