Cummins X12 CM2350 X119B (2018 & Newer) Fault Code: 3418 PID: SPN: 191 FMI: 19 Transmission Output Shaft Speed- Received Network Data In Error

Publicado por Diezel Solutions en

Circuit DescriptionNormally, switches, accelerators, and other components are connected to the engine control module (ECM) directly through individual wires. Multiplexing allows those same components to be hard wired to an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) vehicle electronic control unit (VECU) or transmission electronic control unit (ECU) in the cab. Then component values and states from components such as sensors, accelerators, and switches can be transmitted from the OEM VECU to the Cummins® ECM over the SAE J1939 data link. Messages sent from OEM VECUs or transmission ECUs are received by the Cummins® ECM and used for controlling the engine. The Cummins®...

Cummins X12 CM2350 X119B (2018 & Newer) Fault Code: 3422 PID: SPN: 4344 FMI: 3 Aftertreatment Diesel Exhaust Fluid Line Heater 3 Circuit- Voltage Above Normal or Shorted to High Source

Publicado por Diezel Solutions en

Circuit DescriptionThe aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid line heaters are used to defrost and/or prevent freezing of the diesel exhaust fluid lines. Component LocationThe aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid line heater 3 is located on the suction line between the diesel exhaust fluid tank and diesel exhaust fluid dosing unit. Conditions for Running the DiagnosticsThis diagnostic runs when the keyswitch is in the ON position and line heating is commanded OFF. Conditions for Setting the Fault CodesThe Engine Control Module (ECM) detected the line heater voltage was above a calibratible value and the line heater current was above a calibratible value. Action...

Cummins X12 CM2350 X119B (2018 & Newer) Fault Code: 343 PID: SID 254 SPN: 629 FMI: 12 Engine Control Module Warning Internal Hardware Failure- Bad Intelligent Device or Component

Publicado por Diezel Solutions en

Circuit DescriptionThe engine control module (ECM) receives constant voltage from the batteries through the unswitched battery wires that are connected directly to the positive (+) battery post. The ECM receives switched battery input through the vehicle keyswitch wire when the vehicle keyswitch is turned ON. Component LocationThe ECM is connected to the battery by the OEM harness. This direct link provides a constant power supply for the ECM. The location of the battery will vary with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Refer to the OEM service manual. Conditions for Running the DiagnosticsThis diagnostic runs continuously when the keyswitch is in...
