Cummins X12 CM2350 X119B (2018 & Newer) Fault Code: 1844 PID: PID 101 SPN: 101 FMI: 4 Crankcase Pressure Circuit- Voltage Below Normal or Shorted to Low Source

Publicado por Diezel Solutions en

Circuit DescriptionThe crankcase pressure sensor is used to monitor the pressure inside the crankcase. The engine control module (ECM) supplies the crankcase pressure sensor a 5 volt reference voltage. When the crankcase pressure is low, the sensor signal voltage is low. When the crankcase pressure is high, the sensor signal voltage is near the 5 volt reference voltage. The ECM monitors the crankcase pressure signal circuit voltage to calculate the pressure of the air within the crankcase. Component LocationThe crankcase pressure sensor is located near the crankcase ventilation filter. Conditions for Running the DiagnosticsThis diagnostic runs continuously when the keyswitch...

Cummins X12 CM2350 X119B (2018 & Newer) Fault Code: 1845 PID: PID 97 SPN: 97 FMI: 3 Water In Fuel Indicator Sensor Circuit- Voltage Above Normal or Shorted to High Source

Publicado por Diezel Solutions en

Circuit DescriptionThe water-in-fuel sensor is in the fuel filter. The engine control module (ECM) provides a 5 volt reference signal to the water-in-fuel sensor. When the water collected in the fuel filter covers the sensor probes, the water-in-fuel sensor pulls the 5-VDC reference voltage down, indicating high water accumulation in the fuel filter. Component LocationThe water-in-fuel sensor is integrated into the bottom of the OEM supplied suction fuel filter. Conditions for Running the DiagnosticsThis diagnostic runs continuously when the keyswitch is in the ON position or when the engine is running. Conditions for Setting the Fault CodesThe Engine Control Module...

Cummins X12 CM2350 X119B (2018 & Newer) Fault Code: 1848 PID: P105 SPN: 105 FMI: 10/10 Intake Manifold 1 Temperature – Abnormal Rate of Change

Publicado por Diezel Solutions en

Lamp:Amber Reason:The intake manifold pressure sensor is reading an erratic value. Effect:Possible reduced engine performance. Circuit Description:The Engine Control Module (ECM) provides 5 volts to the intake manifold temperature signal circuit, and monitors the change in voltage caused by changes in the resistance of the sensor to determine the intake manifold temperature. When the intake air is cold, the sensor (or thermistor) resistance is high. The ECM signal voltage only pulls down a small amount through the sensor to a ground. Therefore, the ECM senses a high signal voltage or low temperature. When the intake air is warm, the sensor...

Circuit DescriptionThe water-in-fuel sensor is attached to the fuel filter. The engine control module (ECM) provides a 5 volt reference signal to the water-in-fuel sensor. When the water collected in the fuel filter covers the sensor probes, the water-in-fuel sensor pulls the 5-VDC reference voltage to ground, indicating high water accumulation in the fuel filter. Component LocationThe water-in-fuel sensor is integrated into the bottom of the OEM supplied suction fuel filter. Conditions for Running the DiagnosticsThis diagnostic runs continuously when the engine is running. Conditions for Setting the Fault CodesThe Engine Control Module (ECM) detected water in fuel for an...
