The ECM detects the following conditions: •The coolant level sensor is sending an invalid signal for more than ten seconds.•The “Coolant Level Sensor” parameter is programmed to “Yes”. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) Coolant sensor failure3) Coolant sensor harness failure4) ECM Failure

The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions: •The signal voltage from the fuel temperature sensor is greater than 4.95 VDC for more than eight seconds. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) If code 232-3 or 232-4 (5 Volt Supply voltage codes) are active, troubleshoot those instead3) Temperature sensor failure4) Temperature sensor harness5) ECM Failure

The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions: •The signal voltage from the fuel temperature sensor is less than 0.2 VDC for more than eight seconds. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) If code 232-3 or 232-4 (5 Volt Supply voltage codes) are active, troubleshoot those instead3) Temperature sensor failure4) Temperature sensor harness5) ECM Failure

The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions: •The ECM detects a low current condition (open circuit) for one second while the ECM is attempting to energize the solenoid for cylinders 3 and 4.•The engine retarder switch is in the low or high position. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) Harness between the ECM and valve cover base3) Engine retarder solenoid failure4) Harness under valve cover5) ECM Failure6) Harness at bulkhead connector
