Volvo All Engines (2013 Emissions) Fault Code: P111386 PID: EMS Exhausy Gas Temperature Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 3 Electrical
This diagnostic function indicates malfunction at the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor. The purpose of the exhaust gas sensor is to contribute the relevant temperatures required for the temperature regulated aftertreatment diesel particulate filter regeneration control. A faulty EGT sensor can result with a failed aftertreatment (DPF) regeneration.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) The sensor signal is stuck
2) Sensor value does not change with changing conditions
Observable symptoms
1) None
Probable cause
1) Post aftertreatment diesel particulate filter (DPF), Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor

Volvo All Engines (2013 Emissions) Fault Code: P111A00 PID: EMS Intake Manifold Temperature Too High
Circuit description
The Intake Air Temperature and Humidity Sensor contains two thermistors, and the resistance of each thermistor varies inversely to temperature. By monitoring the current flow through each thermistor, the Engine Control Module (ECM) calculates the temperature and humidity of the air entering the turbocharger.
The Engine Control Module (ECM) uses values from the Intake Air Temperature (IAT), Intake Manifold Pressure (IMP) and compressor efficiency to calculate the Compressor Discharge Temperature.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC)
Charge air temperature too high
Probable cause
1) Connector
2) Wiring harness
3) Intake manifold air temperature (IMAT) and pressure sensor
4) Extreme driving conditions
5) Poor cooling
Detailed information
High ambient temperature can cause an active diagnostic trouble code (DTC)
