Volvo All Engines (2017 Emissions) Fault Code: P02E697 PID: EMS Diesel Intake Air Flow Position Sensor

Circuit description
The intake throttle valve controls the amount of fresh air that is mixed with the EGR gases that enter the engine to maintain appropriate engine emissions. The air flow is controlled by an electric motor that positions a movable plate. The plate position is monitored and communicated to the Electronic Control Module (ECM) by the throttle position sensor. The ECM supplies voltage to the electric motor to position the plate as the conditions require

Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC)
The sensor signal is above normal range

Probable cause
1) Mechanical fault
2) Connector
3) Wiring harness
