Volvo All Engines (2013 Emissions) Fault Code: U042600 PID: EMS Invalid Data Received From Vehicle Immobilizer Control Module

The immobilizer function is a part of a system that prevents the engine from starting if the correct security code is not used. After the ignition is switched on, a security code is broadcast from the ECM to the immobilizer control unit or the instrument cluster (US market). Engine start is permitted if a correct response message is received within a certain number of tries and within a certain time from the immobilizer control unit/instrument cluster
