PACCAR PX-9 CM2350 (2013-17) Fault Code:2964 PID:105 SPN:105 FMI:15 Intake Manifold 1 Temperature – Data Valid But Above Normal Operational Range – Least Severe Level

Posted by Diezel Solutions on

Reason:Intake Manifold 1 Temperature – Data Valid But Above Normal Operational Range – Least Severe Level. Intake manifold air temperature signal indicates intake manifold air temperature is above engine protection warning limit. Effect:Progressive power and/or speed derate increasing in severity from time of alert. If the Engine Protection Shutdown feature is enabled, the engine will shut down 30 seconds after the red STOP lamps starts flashing. Circuit Description:The Engine Control Module (ECM) provides 5 volts to the intake manifold temperature signal circuit, and monitors the change in voltage caused by changes in the resistance of the sensor to determine the...

PACCAR PX-9 CM2350 (2013-17) Fault Code:297 PID:297 SPN:1388 FMI:3 Auxiliary Pressure Sensor Input 2 Circuit – Voltage Above Normal or Shorted to High Source

Posted by Diezel Solutions on

Reason:Auxiliary Pressure Sensor Input 2 Circuit – Voltage Above Normal or Shorted to High Source. High signal voltage detected at the OEM pressure circuit. Effect:None on performance Circuit Description:The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) has the option of wiring a pressure or temperature sensor input to the Cummins® engine control module (ECM). A specific calibration is then created to recognize this pressure or temperature sensor input. This fault code is activated when the pressure or temperature input from the OEM sensor exceeds the engine protection limit defined by the OEM. Depending on OEM requirements, an Engine Protection derate can be associated...

PACCAR PX-9 CM2350 (2013-17) Fault Code:2973 PID:102 SPN:102 FMI:2 Intake Manifold 1 Pressure – Data Erratic, Intermittent, or Incorrect

Posted by Diezel Solutions on

Reason:Intake Manifold 1 Pressure – Data Erratic, Intermittent, or Incorrect. The intake manifold pressure reading is erratic or not rational. Effect:Possible reduced engine performance. Circuit Description:The engine control module (ECM) provides a 5 volt supply to the intake manifold pressure sensor on the sensor supply circuit. The ECM also provides a ground on the sensor return circuit. The intake manifold pressure sensor provides a signal to the ECM on the intake manifold pressure sensor signal circuit. This sensor signal voltage changes based on the pressure in the intake manifold. Component Location:The intake manifold 1 pressure/temperature sensor is located in the...

PACCAR PX-9 CM2350 (2013-17) Fault Code:2976 PID: SPN:3361 FMI:2 Aftertreatment 1 Diesel Exhaust Fluid Dosing Unit Temperature – Data Erratic, Intermittent, or Incorrect

Posted by Diezel Solutions on

Reason:Aftertreatment Diesel Exhaust Fluid Dosing Unit Temperature – Data Erratic, Intermittent, or Incorrect. An internal error has been detected in the aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid dosing unit. Effect:Possible reduced engine performance. Circuit Description:The aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid dosing unit precisely measures the amount of aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid to be injected into the aftertreatment system. The aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid dosing unit has three primary cycles. A priming cycle makes sure that aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid is available at the aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid dosing unit. During the dosing cycle, aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid is being delivered to the aftertreatment...

PACCAR PX-9 CM2350 (2013-17) Fault Code:298 PID:443 SPN:1388 FMI:4 Auxiliary Pressure Sensor Input 2 Circuit – Voltage Below Normal or Shorted to Low Source

Posted by Diezel Solutions on

Reason:Auxiliary Pressure Sensor Input 2 Circuit – Voltage Below Normal or Shorted to Low Source. Low signal voltage or open circuit detected at the OEM pressure circuit. Effect:Possible reduced engine performance. Circuit Description:The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) has the option of wiring a pressure or temperature sensor input to the Cummins® engine control module (ECM). A specific calibration is then created to recognize this pressure or temperature sensor input. This fault code is activated when the pressure or temperature input from the OEM sensor exceeds the engine protection limit defined by the OEM. Depending on OEM requirements, an Engine Protection...
