Verify the electronic control module (ECM) calibration is correct. Check the calibration revision history found on QuickServe® Online for applicable fixes to the calibration stored in the ECM. If necessary, recalibrate the ECM.
1)Signal circuit shorted to ground in the harness, sensor, or connector.
1)Clean the connector and pins.
2)Replace the water-in-fuel sensor.
3)The removal and installation of the connector may correct the fault.
4)Repair or replace the engine harness.
Replace the ECM.
PACCAR PX-8 CM2150 (2007-09) Fault Code: 428 PID: 97 SPN: 97 FMI: 3 Water-in-Fuel Indicator Sensor Circuit – Voltage Above Normal or Shorted to High Source. High voltage detected at the water-in-fuel circuit.
PACCAR PX-8 CM2150 (2007-09) Fault Code: 427 PID: SID 231 SPN: 639 FMI: 9 J1939 Datalink – Abnormal Update Rate. Communication between the electronic control module (ECM) and another device on the SAE J1939 data link has been lost.
PACCAR PX-8 CM2150 (2007-09) Fault Code: 418 PID: 97 SPN: 97 FMI: 0 Water-In-Fuel Indicator – Data Valid but Above Normal Operatibng Range – Least Severe Level. Water has been detected in the fuel filter.
PACCAR PX-8 CM2150 (2007-09) Fault Code: 415 PID: 100 SPN: 100 FMI: 1 Engine Oil Rifle Pressure – Data Valid But Below Normal Operating Range – Most Severe Level. Oil pressure signal indicates oil pressure is below the engine protection critical limit.
PACCAR PX-8 CM2150 (2007-09) Fault Code: 386 PID: SID 212 SPN: 3509 FMI: 3 Sensor Supply 1 Circuit – Voltage Above Normal or Shorted to High Source. High voltage detected at sensor supply number 1 circuit.
PACCAR PX-8 CM2150 (2007-09) Fault Code: 352 PID: SID 212 SPN: 3509 FMI: 4 Sensor Supply 1 Circuit – Voltage Below Normal or Shorted to Low Source. Low voltage detected at sensor supply number 1 circuit.
