PACCAR MX (2004 Emissions) Fault Code: P1572 Inlet Air Temperature After Compressor – Data Erratic, Intermittent, or Incorrect

SET CONDITIONS:
The PCI ECU (D420) calculates that the inlet air temperature after turbo compressor differs too much from the expected value.

DIAGNOSTIC CONDITION:
This diagnostic runs:
1. 180 seconds after the ignition has been keyed on
2. When the engine speed is above 1050 rpm
3. When the engine is running at a moderate and steady load

CORRESPONDING OBD READINESS MONITOR:
None

RESET CONDITION:
This DTC changes to inactive when the fault is no longer detected.

REPAIR VERIFICATION:
1. Clear all DTCs.
2. Test drive or operate the vehicle to meet the diagnostic conditions and set conditions.
3. Did the DTC come back?
– No, repair successful
– Yes, repair unsuccessful

The inlet air temperature after compressor of the turbocharger is calculated by the PCI ECU.
