DESCRIPTION:This fault code sets when there is an open in the SCR outlet temperature circuit or a short to power on the SCR outlet temperature sensor signal circuit. MONITORED PARAMETER:SCR inlet temperature sensor. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Always enabled MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Always enabled TYPICAL DURATION:2 seconds DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL ENGINE REACTION:Derate 25%. VERIFICATION:Engine idle (one minute). NOTE: If code 3246-15 active, fix that first. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. DESCRIPTION:This fault code sets when the Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM) detects a momentary abnormal Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) outlet temperature reading. MONITORED PARAMETER:Selective Catalyst Reduction outlet temperature sensor. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Non-Regen mode. MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:2 seconds DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL ENGINE REACTION:None VERIFICATION:SCR efficiency test. NOTE: This fault indicates that the ACM has detected a sudden temperature switch on the SCR inlet temperature sensor. Most likely cause is wiring failure.
