DESCRIPTION:High side digital output 1 circuit short to power.

MONITORED PARAMETER:High side digital output 1 circuit.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Always on

MONITOR SEQUENCE:None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met.

TYPICAL DURATION:One second

DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL

ENGINE REACTION:Derate 25%

VERIFICATION:Ignition key cycle.

PROBABLE CAUSES:For 2010 EPA Engines:1. Short to power between pin 1 of the Jake brake solenoid and pin 66 of the MCM 120-pin connector.2. Short to power between pin 2 of the Jake brake solenoid and pin 91 of the MCM 120-pin connector.

For 2014 EPA Engines:1. DEF Dosing unit harness connector.2. Short to battery voltage between pin 4 of the harness side of the DEF dosing unit harness connector and pin 3 of the ECM 120-pin connector.3. Short between pin 3 of the harness side of the DEF dosing unit harness connector and pin 22 of the ECM 120-pin connector.
