Detroit DD13 EPA07 (2007-09) Fault Code: SPN 110 FMI 2 (MCM) Coolant Outlet Temperature Not Plausible

DESCRIPTION:Coolant outlet temperature not plausible.

MONITORED PARAMETER:Coolant inlet and coolant outlet temperature sensors.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:1. Engine speed 500-2500 rpm.2. Coolant temperature is greater than 65C.3. Battery voltage is 11 vDC.4. Run engine less than 60s.

MONITOR SEQUENCE:None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Always enabled

TYPICAL DURATION:30

DASH LAMPS:MIL

VERIFICATION:Start engine, warm it up so that the coolant temperature is greater than 65C. Insure battery voltage is 11 vDC and engine has been running for at least 1 minute then bring engine to idle speed, being certain that it is greater than 500 RPM.

NOTE: If any other cooling system issues, repair those first.

PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Engine cooling system thermostat failure.2. Inlet and/or outlet coolant temperature sensor connector/harness.3. Inlet and/or outlet coolant temperature sensor.
