The ECM detects the following conditions: •The vehicle speed signal changes more than 5 MPH on eight consecutive readings in three seconds.•The engine speed is greater than the programmed “VSL Protection” minus 100 rpm.•The “VSL Protection” parameter is programmed to a value that is less than 2120 rpm. Probable Causes: 1) Fuel system restriction (Uncommon, but possible)2) If speedometer is not accurate, then ECM is not programmed correctly3) Vehicle speed sensor4) Vehicle speed sensor wiring5) ECM Connection/Harness6) Speedometer failure7) ECM Failure

The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions: •The vehicle speed signal indicates that vehicle speed is greater than 127.5 MPH for more than two seconds.•The “VSL Protection” parameter is programmed to a value that is less than 2120 rpm. The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions: •The signal voltage from the intake manifold air temperature sensor is greater than 4.9 VDC for more than eight seconds.•Engine coolant temperature is above −10 °C (15.0 °F).•The ECM has been powered for at least two seconds. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) If code 232-3 or 232-4 (5 Volt Supply voltage codes) are active, troubleshoot those instead3) Temperature sensor failure4) Temperature sensor harness5) ECM Failure

The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions: •The signal voltage from the intake manifold air temperature sensor is less than 0.2 VDC for more than eight seconds.•The ECM has been powered for at least two seconds. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) If code 232-3 or 232-4 (5 Volt Supply voltage codes) are active, troubleshoot those instead3) Temperature sensor failure4) Temperature sensor harness5) ECM Failure
