The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects one of the following items after attempting to operate the injector: •A low current condition (open circuit) exists in the wiring for the cylinder injector solenoid.•A high current condition (short circuit) exists in the injector solenoid. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) Cylinder injector failure3) Injector solenoid failure4) Harness from ECM to valve cover connector5) ECM failure6) Injector harness under valve cover

This code indicates that the engine has run above 95% of full power for more than 15 minutes in a one hour period. The engine will be derated in order to prevent damage to the engine. This could be caused by misapplication of the engine. This code can only be caused by driver and or load (too heavy)

The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions: •The ECM is not receiving information about the ambient air temperature from the SAE J1587 data link. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) Truck batteries3) Wiring between batteries & ECM4) Fuses

The ECM detects the following conditions: •The signal voltage from the ambient air temperature sensor is greater than 4.92 VDC for more than eight seconds.•The “Allow Idle Shutdown Override” parameter is programmed to “Outside Temperature Based” or “J1587 Outside Temperature Based”.•The ECM has been powered for at least two seconds. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) If code 232-3 or 232-4 (5 Volt Supply voltage codes) are active, troubleshoot those instead3) Temperature sensor failure4) Temperature sensor harness5) ECM Failure

The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions: •The signal voltage from the ambient air temperature sensor is less than 0.2 VDC for more than eight seconds.•The “Allow Idle Shutdown Override” parameter is programmed to “Outside Temperature Based” or “J1587 Outside Temperature Based”.•The ECM has been powered for at least two seconds. Probable Causes: 1) ECM Connection/Harness2) If code 232-3 or 232-4 (5 Volt Supply voltage codes) are active, troubleshoot those instead3) Temperature sensor failure4) Temperature sensor harness5) ECM Failure
