Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 97 FMI 16 (MCM) Water-In-Fuel Warning

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Drain the fuel filter module by removing the fuel filters or opening the drain valve. Hand tighten the drain plug and prime the fuel filter with the hand pump. If code doesn’t come back, problem solved.
2. Reset the Water in Fuel indicator.
3. Water in fuel connector/harness.
4. Water in fuel sensor.
