Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 51 FMI 3 (MCM) Intake Throttle Valve Circuit Failed High

DESCRIPTION:
This fault code sets when there is a short to voltage on the intake throttle valve circuit.

Derate 10%

VERIFICATION:
Engine Idle: One minute.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Air throttle valve harness.
2. ITV harness connector.
3. Intake throttle valve failure.
4. Cold temperatures may falsly cause this code to appear.
5. Intake throttle valve sensor.
