Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 3242 FMI 8 (ACM) Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Inlet Temperature – Signal Spike

NOTE: This fault indicates the aftertreatment control module (ACM) has detected no temperature shift on the diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) inlet temperature sensor . The most likely cause is an intermittent wiring concern (poor terminal fit, corrosion, chaffing etc.)

NOTE: If codes 3242-3 or 3242-4 active, fix those first.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. DOC inlet temperature sensor.
2. DOC inlet temperature sensor connector/harness.
