DESCRIPTION:This fault sets when ambient and inlet manifold pressure difference is out of range under a load.
MONITORED PARAMETER:Inlet manifold pressure and barometric pressure.
TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:1. Engine Speed (rpm)– Min: 1350– Max: 1800
2. Engine Torque– Min: 1400 N·m– Max: 3000 N·m
3. Intake Air Throttle Position– Max: 5%
4. Engine Coolant Outlet Temperature– 65°C (149°F)
MONITOR SEQUENCE:None
EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met.
TYPICAL DURATION:40 seconds
DASH LAMPS:1. SEL2. CEL3. MIL
ENGINE REACTION:25% Derate + Engine Shutdown.
VERIFICATION:1. Once engine is at standard operating temperature.2. Drive at highway speed with loaded trailer between 1350 to 1800 rpm continuously for five minutes.
PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Failed inlet manifold pressure sensor.2. Inlet manifold pressure sensor connector/harness.3. Charge air cooler failure.
